Woah! This is number 300! Only 65 more to go.

Bird on a Wire

No energy today. You'll have to settle for this.

Not Happy With My Work

Another mood doodle... Pretty much sums up how I feel about everything I've attempted to draw today - including this. Just one of those days, I guess.

Jellybean Ninja

I drew a Jellybean Pirate, so I figured I should draw a Jellybean Ninja.

Hangin' Up My Hat

No... This doesn't mean I'm quitting.

ROFL!

Here's another one that I plan to add color to later... and again, I've left out the shading for that reason. I would have called this one "ROFLMAO!" but that would have been an entirely different picture.

Dragon Pinup Outlines

This is a more detailed version of a sketch I did last month. I still plan on adding color to this one, so I've skimped a little bit on the shading, since it will disappear in the final version and is only needed for reference.

Punchy

I'm rapidly approaching doodle #300. Like the 100 and 200 milestones, I'll be doing something in color. However, I've been doing a lot of color work later (finding it easier to do these days), so it's liable to be somewhat anti-climactic.

Rose

Continuing to draw from reference. Took the time to add some color to this one, because it just didn't look good in grayscale.

Candle

I've been trying to work in a more "painterly" style for the past few doodles. As you can see, I can use the practice. These would benefit from some color, but right now I'm mostly concentrating on tone, shadows and highlights.

Dice Bag

When I was 13 I found a Crown Royal bag on the street. I took it home, washed it up real good and used it to store my dice. Funny thing, as I met more and more gamers through the years, I found that I wasn't alone in using Crown Royal bags to carry dice. That bag lasted me until just a few years ago, when it finally wore out. I don't drink Crown Royal, but I thought I might pick up a small bottle just to replace my beloved bag. I could just pour the alcohol down the sink. Then I saw the price tag! I definitely wasn't going to spend over $30 on a dice bag. Fortunately, J.K. Rowling came to my rescue! You see, Jelly Belly (the jelly bean company) started making Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans candies (from the Harry Potter series) and selling them in little bags. Best of all, my kids bought some with their own money, and I was able to steal the bag without them noticing. It's a might smaller than my old Crown Royal bag, but I do considerably less gaming than I used to, so it's all good. Plus, I didn't have to pour good whiskey any money down the drain. Anyway, this is a very rough sketch of my current dice bag.

Couple of Cats

I know what I said yesterday... and it's still my plan to do some sketching. However, I'm holding off on that so I could bring you this nifty little doodle of cats that I did in ballpoint pen on a piece of scratch paper.

Carly

Thought I'd try something different for a while. It's been a while since I've actually sketched from life or used any kind of reference. So, for the next few drawings that's what I'm going to be doing. This is our dog, Carly. Isn't she pretty? Wouldn't you just love to take her home with you?... No. Really. Wouldn't you just love to take her home with you?
